Toastmasters International District 83 Better You Better World
UMDNJ Toastmasters is a member of Toastmasters International District 83. It is a place where people meet to learn and become more confidant with public speaking as well as develop their leadership skills.
The club prides it self in being a welcoming, open and fun environment where people from different cultural, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds can meet, learn and grow with each other. It is this diverse mixture combined with the willingness of the club members to support and buy into helping each member become successful which make each meeting an event not to be missed.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at the Behavior Health Science building (183 South Orange Ave, Newark, NJ) from 5:15 PM to 6:30 PM for members who would like to attend our evening meetings. We also meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month in the Stanley Bergen building ( Bergen Street, Newark, NJ) from noon to 1:00 PM.
We welcome anyone who has a desire to improve themselves and are interested in learning, sharing , developing their talents, and having fun in the process. Our meetings are lively, entertaining and inspirational. It cost you nothing to attend a meeting and you will leave with a wealth of knowledge and smiling too.
