Excellent use of breath and voice control! The poet took us on a journey from childhood to manhood. His body, planted in one spot like a strong tree; his face and eyes showed his childish excitement playing knock knock with his father, spoke the same language as his words. He was passionate, he knew his material well and delivered with good diction and confidence.
One possible way the speech/presentation could be improved; maybe address/face the audience to the left and right, by taking 2-3 steps to the right stop, face the audience and later move to the left and do the same.
He drew us in by increasing his voice volume to a mounting crescendo with a powerful climax. Knock knock, who's there? WE ARE! Yes an excellent job. Very inspiring. I will share his words.
Thanks for sharing.

This is soooo true. I take every opportunity to speak in table-topics. It gives me increased confidence in public speaking every time I do, and you only have to speak for 2 minutes!
